“Cotton. From Blue to Green” Campaign:
Last year, Butler PRSSA participated in the “Cotton. From Blue to Green” Campaign. “Cotton. From Blue to Green” is a nationwide campaign that recycles old jeans to use for insulation for homes across the country.
As one of eight chapters nationwide, Butler’s chapter helped collect 2,500 pairs of jeans through several events in the Indianapolis community.

Buffalo Wild Wings Campaign:
During March Madness, Butler’s chapter competed against five other universities nationwide to see who could drive the most traffic to Buffalo Wild Wings.
After Butler PRSSA was approached by the Minneapolis office of Fleishman-Hillard about the competition, they teamed up with the Buffalo Wild Wings in Broad Ripple. With the hard work of the team and help of the Butler fans, Butler PRSSA both “outperformed” the other schools and increased sales.

PR Night:
Butler’s chapter hosted the PR Night 2.0: Enhancing the Message this past April. The event brought together students, faculty and professionals in the industry.
Emcee and keynote speakers included:
- Chris Gahl: Associate Director of Communications at the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association (ICVA) and Butler alumnus
- Scott Wise: Owner of Scotty’s Brewhouse
- Chuck Gose: Director of Business Development and Social Media at the MediaTile Company and Butler alumnus
